When is Future Legends Complex opening?

Future Legends is currently open! We look to be fully operational with all amenities, including a professional stadium, dormitory, retail and restaurants by the end of 2025. Some fields are available now, and more will be finished soon.

What sports will be offered at Future Legends Complex?

At Future Legends, the sky's the limit! We will have traditional sports on our diamonds, fields and hardcourt, but will also integrate innovative, different and new sports as well! Our indoor and outdoor diamonds will host baseball and softball, and we will have a Miracle Field to accommodate children and adults with special needs and special abilities. Our multi-purpose fields will have soccer, lacrosse, flag football, ultimate frisbee, dodgeball, futsal, quidditch, and anything else you can think of! Our four-acre bubble dome will house hardcourt for volleyball and basketball. We will also have pickleball and beach volleyball facilities on-site. If you can dream it, we can do it!

What specific facilities will Future Legends Complex have?

Future Legends strives to be your one-stop-shop for sports tournaments. We will have high quality fields and playing surfaces, but what takes us above and beyond is the eventual inclusion of every amenity you could ever want at a sporting event: a dormitory for teams, hotels on site, a retail center, and a professional stadium! There will be more than 20 outdoor playing fields at Future Legends, including 10 baseball & softball diamonds, 12 multi-purpose fields, 16 pickleball courts and sand volleyball courts. The inside of our bubble dome will be split into hardcourt on one side, and turf on the other, providing opportunities to play 365 days a year. The hardcourt will host 16 volleyball courts or 8 basketball courts, while the turf can be split into two baseball/softball diamonds or one multi-purpose field.

What professional sports will Future Legends Complex host?

Future Legends Complex is the proud home of three professionally-run sports teams. The Northern Colorado Owlz play in the Pioneer Baseball League, an MLB Partner League. Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC is a men's soccer team that most recently competed in USL League One, which is in the third division of American soccer. In 2024, Hailstorm won League One's inaugural Jägermeister Cup, a league-wide in-season tournament. Northern Colorado Rain FC is a women's soccer team that most recently competed in the USL W League. The team is comprised of local high school players, current college players, and former professionals. Rain competed in their inaugural season in 2024.

What are dorm-style tournaments?

The main element of a dorm-style tournament is pretty self-explanatory: a dormitory for tournament participants to stay in while they play. But dorm-style tournaments are much more than just a dorm. The Future Legends innovative stay-and-play model emphasizes the experience of the tournament participants above all else. Athletes get the opportunity to bond with their teammates, meet new friends from across the country, and participate in ancillary tournament events and experiences, all while parents have peace of mind that their children are safe and happy on our secure complex. And speaking of parents ... our hotels on Future Legends Complex will allow for them to stay less than 100 yards away from their kids!
