Future Legends is Open — and Growing! We’re excited to announce that Future Legends Complex is officially open! While construction continues, several of our state-of-the-art fields are already available for use and more are being completed soon. Our expansive complex will feature: 20+ outdoor playing fields, including: 10 baseball & softball diamonds 12 multi-purpose fields 16 pickleball courts Sand volleyball courts A state-of-the-art bubble dome designed for year-round play: One side of hardcourt: 16 volleyball courts or 8 basketball courts One side of turf: 2 baseball/softball diamonds or 1 full multi-purpose field With so many options under one roof, athletes and fans alike can enjoy the ultimate sports experience, 365 days a year.

Home of Northern Colorado’s Pro & Pre-Pro Teams Future Legends Complex is the proud home of three high-level teams in Northern Colorado. Northern Colorado Owlz (Pioneer Baseball League, an MLB Partner League) The Owlz play a 96-game season from May through September. Their roster is made up of independent professional athletes with aspirations of signing Major League contracts. Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC (NISA Pro League) After competing in USL League One for several seasons, the Hailstorm are now in the NISA Pro setup. Northern Colorado Rain FC (WPSL Pro) Rain FC began in the USL W League (pre-professional) in 2024, then joined the WPSL in 2025. They also have plans to play in the WPSL’s new professional division, WPSL Pro.

But at Future Legends, our innovative stay-and-play model goes far beyond housing. For athletes, the experience is immersive. Teams bond more deeply, new friendships are forged with peers from across the country, and players get to enjoy ancillary tournament events and unique experiences that make memories long after the final whistle. For parents, peace of mind is built in. With dormitories located on our secure complex, families can rest assured that their children are safe and cared for. And for those who want to be close by, our on-site hotels are just steps away less than 100 yards from the dorms—providing comfort and convenience without ever missing a moment.

Future Legends Complex is co-founded by Jeff Katofsky and Ryan “Spilly” Spilborghs. Jeff is the managing member of Future Legends, LLC, and has more than 30 years in the sports business industry, including having owned multiple professional sports teams. Jeff is also a top civil trial litigator and business attorney. If he wasn’t busy enough, Jeff manages multiple hospitality development projects, including the Delta by Marriott at the Detroit Airport, the historic St. Clair Inn, and Hotel Harrington. "Spilly" is best known for his Major League Baseball career with the Colorado Rockies as an outfielder and pinch hitter. He embarked on a career in broadcasting following his time on the diamond. These days, co-hosts a radio show called "Loud Outs" on MLB Network Radio and serves as a color commentator for "Friday Night Baseball" on Apple TV.
