WINDSOR, Colo – Future Legends announces Panhandler’s Pizza as the newest addition to the retail center, set to open in spring of 2024.
Panhandler’s has been a Northern Colorado staple since the shop opened their doors in 1975 in Fort Collins. Their original location was on Elizabeth Street near CSU’s campus, and has since been moved to its current brick-and-mortar on College Avenue under the ownership of former employee Louann DeCoursey. Their location on Future Legends Complex will be their second Northern Colorado location, and the first in Windsor.
Panhandler’s is known for their pan-style crust, local beer selection, open mic nights, and charitable contributions to their local community. They specialize in “making pizza that tastes like a memory”. Their food truck has enjoyed being a part of many Owlz and Hailstorm games this summer as they await their permanent location in the Future Legends retail center.
“We couldn’t be more excited to partner with Louann and Panhandler’s,” says Casey Katofsky, Executive Director of Operations at Future Legends. “Pizza is a quintessential part of a youth and professional sports complex like this. Panhandler’s represents not only great food, but also family values. That’s the root of this complex and why we created it in the first place.”
Future Legends Complex is the premier destination for sports and events in Northern Colorado. The 118-acre complex will feature the 6,500-seat FNBO Field at TicketSmarter Stadium, 2,500-seat Future Legends Field, multiple baseball diamonds and multi-purpose fields, an indoor sports arena, an e-sports arena, Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton by Hilton hotels, and multiple restaurants retail locations; and will host guests for major sports tournaments, events, leagues, and more.
