Future Legends LLC, located in Windsor, Colorado, is the premier destination for sports and events. Opening in Summer 2022, Future Legends will be a state-of-the-art indoor/outdoor multi-sport, training, and events facility that will make a positive impact on the local community and surrounding area as well as nationally. It is designed to host guests for national, regional, and local sports tournaments, events, leagues, and more for players and audiences of all ages and skill levels. Position Summary: 

The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the stability, organization, and configuration of all financials for Future Legends Complex ensuring all financial elements of events, gatherings, bookings, etc. are executed at the highest level. This executive position will effectively organize and run the financial department for all entities that are under the Future Legends umbrella. This department leader will be responsible for the training and development of the financial team, establishing goals, budgets, and providing feedback and growth opportunities.

Key Areas of Responsibility, Job Metrics and Competencies: 

  • Executing the company’s financial strategy and managing accounting procedures
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Direct the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
  • Compare sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; make or oversee any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.

  • Work with the CEO, Executive Director, and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.
  • Develop plans for growth to increase company profit and revenue streams while also reducing expenditure.
  • Manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets and oversee the preparation of all financial reporting.

Minimum Qualifications and Essential Functions: 

  • Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required, or related equivalent experience or equivalent training and experience in lieu of degree. (Minimum 5 years will be considered)
  • A minimum of 3 years supervisory, management and/or leadership experience.
  • Must have a flexible schedule and the ability to work long hours, including overnights, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with diverse staff, tenacious work ethic and strong, written communication skills required.
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized with an ability to simultaneously handle multiple tasks and adapt to change.
  • Must be able to complete projects and resolve issues expeditiously, independently and with minimal supervision; must be able to show initiative and good judgment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must due to required correspondence in the role.
  • Demonstrate poise, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Strong teamwork aptitude required.
  • Must have the physical ability to work both inside and outside during all seasons of the year and possible extreme weather conditions.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems, preferably SAP systems
  • Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.

  • Competitive salary based upon experience (Minimum salary: $120,000)
